November 18-22, 2019, is American Education Week and we want to take the time to highlight the importance of bringing together educators, parents, students, and community in a unified effort to build great public schools. Each day we will spotlight the different people who are critical in building our amazing team here at Linton Public School. We all play an important role in education and we want to recognize all of that amazing work. Friday, November 22: Substitute Educators Day. This day honors the educators who are called upon to replace regularly employed teachers. They take our phone calls day or night and arrive ready to wear countless hats. In a moment’s notice, they can be here and with no hesitation, fill the shoes of endless people. Without our amazing substitute teachers, we could not make each day happen. So, if you see these special people in town today, thank them for being the jack of all trades at Linton Public School. #Reach.Educate.Inspire

Each day we arrive at school, and things are orderly and tidy, warm and safe, and the smells of yummy buns already linger in the halls. Our bus drivers rise earlier than the rest to ensure each of the students arrives safe and timely. While Francis and John stay late, and James is the first to come, you can bet it's all put back and shiny, ready for the halls to fill and the classrooms to buzz with learning. The moment you walk in if your tummy needs to be fed, Liz and Rita have just what you need warm and tasty to fuel our bodies for learning. Although they may not reside within the four walls of a classroom, these individuals are the catalysts that make this school run. If you see our bus drivers, janitors, and or cooks, today's the day to say a big THANK YOU! #Reach.Educate.Inspire
