The High School Student Council serves many important roles in our school. We are continually planning and leading school celebrations throughout the year to keep staff and student morale up. This includes Homecoming Activities, Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and anytime we feel the school needs a pick me up! In addition, our students attend a state conference each year to gain leadership skills. We also serve as the "Welcoming Committee" for any new student that enrolls at LHS. Our LHS student council has grown over the past few years and will continue to add to their role as leaders within our school. We thank you for your support in all that we do!

Tickets are $45 each.

• Wednesday, November 18: Paraprofessionals Educators and Administrative Staff: We stop today to recognize our amazing paraprofessionals and administrative support staff, who walk along side of our teachers daily to support all of our students. A smiling face, air-hugs, and reminders of gloves, they are there with just what is needed.

Tuesday, November 17: Parents Day. The importance of the parent teacher relationship has been now more important than ever. We have learned that without each other education is not the same. It is proven that parent involvement is critical in creating a successful educational experience. Today we thank you for the nights spent looking over homework, studying spelling words, reading together, and embracing those educational moments at home that make the difference. Your support is obvious everywhere we go whether it be from the sidelines of a game, a good nighttime story, serving team meals, packing snacks or helping us log on zoom. Hello Linton Families,
Governor Burgum has issued an Executive Order 2020-43 to implement the mitigation measures to slow the spread of COVID-19, which takes effect Monday, Nov. 16. We anticipate the following impacts to Linton Public School:
* Playoff championship contests and performance events sponsored by the North Dakota High School Activities Association during the month of November may continue under NDHSAA requirements.
* All high school winter sports and extracurricular K-12 activities are suspended until. Dec. 14. (The suspended extracurricular activities at LPS from 11/16 - 12/13 would include: Elem BBB, JH GBB, JH WR, 9-12 WR, 9-12 GBB, 9-12 BBB, and JH BBB). This also applies to all association, community and club sports for youth and adults.
* This Executive Order includes a mask mandate for K-12 schools. Our preschool is exempt from this order. This will not dramatically change the day-to-day mask requirements we already have in place, and plan to continue. School administration and classroom teachers will determine any deviations from our current masking requirements.
We will continue to share information from NDHSAA as we receive it.
