K-6 Students & Parents: The Elementary Yearbook staff is requesting your help! The distance learning platform we are currently using is an important part of our story this year. We would like to feature pictures of the students in their “new” classrooms. Please submit a picture of your child in their new workspace. Examples include: the student sitting at their desk, in front of their computer, writing, coloring etc. Also, if your child participated in the social media movement #aworldofhearts please submit a picture of them by their hearts in their window. You can submit your pictures by putting them in the comments of this post or by emailing them to Mrs. Jangula @ lacey.jangula@k12.nd.us Thank you!

Linton School will be joining many school districts across the state in turning on our football field lights tonight (April 3rd) from approximately 7:00 - 9:30 PM. This is our way of honoring our students, staff, and community members in this time of distance education while our school buildings are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These bright lights in Linton serve as a symbol of hope and assurance that our students remain in our hearts and minds as we "educate from a distance". GO LIONS!

Dear Linton School Parents, Thank you to those that were able to participate in our 3:00 PM Zoom Parent meeting today. Unfortunately, our public meeting was hacked by someone with malicious intent. I sincerely apologize for this happening during our meeting! We have contacted law enforcement to help us investigate this occurrence. Zoom customer service has also been informed of this incident. In the meantime, we have purchased Zoom Pro for any future public zoom meeting, which has 256 bit TLS encryption, is HIPPA and FERPA compliant, and uses privacy practices and technical security measures to ensure that customer data is even more protected. In addition, Zoom security features have also been vetted for maximum protection from outside users. Zoom meetings between teachers and students at Linton School are private meetings that take place by email invitations through password protected accounts – helping to prevent such an occurrence from taking place. Tonight’s 7:00 PM Zoom Parent Meeting has been pre-recorded, and a link will be posted for all interested families to view by 6:45 PM. Any follow-up questions can be directed to Linton School administrators. We will continue to do our best to offer timely communication that allows you to be an active participant in the education of your child. Respectfully, Paul Keeney Superintendent
