Lots of fun was had in science last week! The 7th grade class has learned about Charles Darwin and the variations of finch species he observed on the Galápagos Islands. Students got to pretend to be a finch competing for prey! They demonstrated how the shape of a finches beak determines what is suitable for consumption. When finished, they ate the “food” they consumed!

This is Mr. Diegel with a weather related school announcement. Because of the poor traveling conditions, there will be no after school practices today, Friday, March 17th. Thank you and stay safe.

Nice weather but still plenty of snow! They call themselves the Freedom Boys! #escaped #winterfun

This week our 7th grade local science fair winners competed at the regional competition! They all represented well with great projects. We are proud to announce Keegan will be moving on to compete at the State competition later this month! Congratulations boys!

Congratulations to our JH 2023 Acalympics team on a 2nd place finish in last nights Regional competition here in Linton!

Good afternoon. This message is only going out to parents of students in grades PK - 6 grade. Because of the continual snow and having to hand scoop our steps, we no longer will be cleaning off the south steps on the west side of the elementary school. We will continue to keep the snow off of the bus steps, so we ask that everyone please use those steps until the other steps are clear of snow and ice. Thank you.

Linton Public School would like to welcome all teams to the Region 5 Acalympics that will be held this afternoon/evening. The JR High competition will begin at 4:30 pm followed by the SR High @ 7:00 pm. The SR High competition will be broadcasted on BEK TV for those interested in watching. Good Luck!

Good evening, this is Mr. Diegel from the school contacting only families on bus routes. Because of the continual blowing and drifting of snow on the gravel roads, we realize that traveling some roads will be nearly impossible. We have been in contact with the Emmons County Road Dept., and they are attempting to open and keep open roads, but in many cases to no avail. Please be in contact with your bus drivers and let them know if we can reach your homes safely without getting stuck. Unfortunately, we also understand that our buses will not be able to get to many of our students. Thank you.

LPS Activity Bulletin for March 13-25

Good evening, this is Mr. Diegel with a weather related school announcement. Because of the current road conditions and the forecasted winds increasing by early tomorrow afternoon, school tomorrow, Friday, March 10th, will be held virtually. Once again, school tomorrow will be held virtually. Please refer to E-Learning Virtual document that was distributed. Thank you.

The Linton Pee Wee tournament for tomorrow has been canceled due to the forecasted wind and weather.

Good Luck to our Boys as they play in their final game of the season! Let's finish with a W!
