Dear Linton Public School Families,
Winter assessment results are being shared with families this week, and we are excited to celebrate the growth and learning of each of our students.
K–5 students: Results will be sent home today, Friday, February 6, 2026, in your child’s backpack.
Grades 6–12 students: Results have been mailed to your home.
At Linton Public School, we use two assessments during the winter testing window: the STAR Assessment and the NDSA+ Interim Assessment. These tools give us helpful insights to support your child’s learning and to plan instruction that meets each student’s needs.
Assessments given by Grade Level:
Grades K–11 take the STAR Reading and STAR Math assessments.
Grades K–10 take the NDSA+ Reading assessment.
Grades K–11 take the NDSA+ Math assessment.
The STAR Assessment is a nationally normed test that helps us see how students are performing compared to peers across the country. The NDSA+ Interim Assessment is aligned to North Dakota state standards and helps us track individual growth while giving a preview of spring state assessment results.
These assessments are just one way we celebrate your child’s progress and plan for continued learning. While no single test defines a student, the results help us recognize strengths and identify areas to grow together.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to review your child’s results, celebrate their successes, and talk about skills they can continue to develop as we move forward in the school year.
If you have any questions about your child’s assessment results, please don’t hesitate to reach out . We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education.
Sincerely,
Linton Public School Administration
