August 22, 2019 - Area Emmons County schools were able to experience the world's only portable walkthrough inflatable heart exhibit with the help of the Emmons County Public Health Unit in Linton!
This highly interactive experience allowed students to experience how the heart functions - from the inside out. This engaging educational opportunity included discussions on a heart healthy diet, while also raising awareness of America's number one killer: heart disease.
The MEGA Heart exhibit spans 26 feet in length, is 13 feet high, and 15 feet wide! Students and teachers were able to see displays of some of the latest medical treatments for heart problems as they "stepped inside" the human heart to learn about cardiovascular functions, as well as examples of various types of heart disease.
What an experience!
